This book started a little slow but once I got about 1/4 of the way through it, I couldn't put it down. It's another book that features the medical examiners
A disgruntled Russion Biochemist experimenting in New York -- classic Cook.
"Thriller" is a good description.
As good as any of Cook's novels.

A former techinician in the Soviet Unions's biological weapons system programme, Yuri possesses the knowledge to wreak havocin his new home. I really enjoyed this book, a brave but troubled doctor, his would-be girlfriend who already has a gun-running fiance, a disgrunted Russian immigrant with an anthrax producing hobby. Throw in a couple of firefighters who are also white-supremists and you've got a good fast-paced medical thriller.
A definite great read
Robin Cook always delivers a thriller of a book.
Another excellent Robin Cook
Biological weapons, Soviet Union, bioweapons - a great Cook read.
This book is a series of two Medical Examiner's in New York that alway seem to get into some sort of trouble as they solve the most unique crimes while still finding time to sort through their private lives.....Can't say more about Laurie Montgomery and Jack Stapleton. Several books are currently available in this series: Vector, Marker, Contagion and chromosone 6 ...Crisis is the latest in the series. You will throughly enjoy them....once you start reading you can't put them down plus you learn so much about the medical field and the scary things that truly go on inside their quiet walls where they don't necessarily want the public to know about.
Fast read, entertaining.
Cook is one of the best medical thriller story tellers. This is another great one.

With signature skill, Robin Cook has crafted a page-turning thriller rooted in up-to-the-minute biotechnology. Vector is all-too-plausible fiction at its terrifying best.

Robin Cook does it again. This book brings back two of my favorite characters Dr Laurie Montgomery and Dr Jack Stapleton. I love the stories where the main characters are forensic pathologists. In this book they tackle an anthrax epidemic.
An all too real story of a bio weapon being unleashed in NYC. Makes you feel a little less secure. Robin Cook at his finest!!
The unthinkiable becomes stark reality in this frightening novel by the bestselling master of medical suspense.

What foresight. This book was written pre 9/11. I was glued, for the most part, to this story from the beginning. I wasn't too impressed with the ending. It was worth my time to read.
A disgruntled Russian is poised to lash out at the adoptive nation he believes has denied him the american dream. He possesses the knowledge to unleash into the streets of NYC the ultimate terror: a modern bioweapon.
Good intrigue
MAKES YOU THINK, SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE
I thought this was a great read! It was so possible that it really made you think! even though i read this book before 9/11, it makes it all the more scarey to read it NOW!
A disgruntled Russian emigre is poised to lash out at the adoptive nation he believes has denied him the American dream. A former technician in the Soviet biological weapons system, he has the knowledge to unleash the ultimate terror - a modern bioweapon. Good thriller.
