Another amazing mystery/romance to die for by Jayne Ann Krentz. I was so crazy in love with Catalina & Slater, a captivating HEA couple. They both had powerful and compatible psychic abilities that just blew my mind away! Their investigation of murders by paranormal means was heart-pounding and fast paced. Loved when Slater used his psychic power to subdued the bad guys. Though Catalina didn't have offensive ability, she was a fierce fighter as well.
At the same time, Catalina and Slater were following clues to rescue Olivia, Catalina's best friend as well as her business partner, who was kidnapped in Seattle. The clues led them back to Catalina's hometown of Fogg Lake, haunting and mysterious, a perfect location to set up a secret lab to create paranormal weapons and drugs! I felt like I could lose myself on the lake, in the caves, get trapped there! Talking about woo-woo effects! The town people didn't welcome tourists or visitors, though. "WELCOME TO FOGG LAKE. NOTHING TO SEE HERE. "
The masterminds remained hidden at the end of Book 1! Which meant I had to keep counting the days until the release of Book 2!
