Great addition to the trilogy. Even though it's been awhile since I read the first 3, I got into the story easily.

Szarok is sent as the Vanguard from the Uroch to the human settlements. He is tasked with finding another place for their kind to settle and live. Tegan and Millie meet him along the road and travel with him to the coast.

Millie is such a sweet character. Everyone gets along with her. She has a sunny disposition which is a great foil to Tegan's often standoffish demeanor. The way that Szarok changes as he spends more time with the humans was very believable.

Several other characters from the trilogy have parts in this book. It was good to see what their lives have become at this point.
