Extremely dull and boring. Tried twice to get through it and I just can't. You'd think since it was in the setting of a place like Mallorca that it would be interesting. The author doesn't describe the setting hardly at all. Not wasting any more time with this one.

Huh, I didn't think this book was dull or boring, not even slow. I enjoyed a glimpse into these peoples lives, they were hurt, troubled, lost and all struggling with actual real-life issues. Sure, none of the characters were super likeable, but that made them more realistic to me. I liked this family drama.

The Vacationers by Emma Straub is the story of the Post family, some of their friends, and a two week vacation on the island of Mallorca. The story is a day by day account of the two weeks, but through those two weeks, it is the story of the issues the family are collectively and individually dealing with. This book is a summer beach read with an expected plot line.
