This is the story of a breed creature that has been captured and tortured in the name of science and research. A woman used against him becomes his focus and he, hers. They have much to work out after their escape but eventually they do and come together for a happy ending. Pretty decent story.

Jesse Stone is a Lycanthrope werewolf shapeshifter who has been captured by scientists and brutally tortured. They want his sperm to create a new race. Jesse does not cooperate. One scientist notices that he shows an interest in Erin whenever she brings his food. They drug Erin and throw her into his cell. Jesse hates that he is attracted to Erin but in the end he cannot resist her and takes her. When he is told that Erin is just using him for the experiement he promises revenge.
This story was in the line with Lora Leigh's Breed series. The characters were complex and the torture Jesse had to endure heartbreaking. The sexual tension and sex scenes were steamy. It's also has a good amount of suspense and of course a HEA.

Project Nemesis- this is where they torture Jesse the lycan in many ways but none as wonderful as Erin. This is a really hot story but also is a good story of love and acceptance. Can't go wrong with this author.
