This is one novel that I am anxious to pass on to the rest of my family. I enjoyed all the characters and found them likable and admirable. Typical divorce by a much better resolution from the harmed parties. Life and death and choices of both man and swan kept my interest and I rushed to finish this one because I knew the ending would be as good as the story. It was.
From childhood, Molly Bell Redwine was taught "family is everything." Yet, suddenly, she discovers that family can change without warning, when her husband of more than twenty years leaves her for a younger woman, her domineering mother dies, and her Atlanta clan scatters.
Feeling adrift and devastated, Molly takes refuge with a friend on Martha's Vineyard, a temporary respite that becomes much more. As her stay up island widens the distance between herself and the past, Molly begins to become part of a stranger new worlda world that offers healing, renewal, and an unexpected second chance at happiness.
