This book was enjoyable but VERY predictable. For me, this book was a typical police/detective mystery series "first" with a simple plot and a basic presentation of the characters. I thought the epilogue was an exciting head-start into the next book, and I am ready to read more in the series. I didn't think book #1 was spectacular, but it was a fun, quick, and easy read.

This is the story of Beau and his wife Anne Corley. I couldn't put this down. It is a must-read for any J.P. Beaumont fan.
