This is a wonderful resource, not only for an unschooler but as a general information book and for other homeschoolers. We are not unschoolers but incorporate some unschooling thoughts and ideas into our philosophy. This book does an excellent job of covering the basics of unschooling, and also addressing some common concerns and questions, such as reading and math. At the end of each chapter is a wonderful list of further resources, again not limited to unschoolers but helpful to anyone.

This book is so chock-filled with great information, especially for those just beginning on the unschooling venture. I think the one aspect I enjoyed most was knowing that there are other people out there who believe as I do, that learning takes place everyday in every arena. If you're on the fence about unschooling, this book may help you make up your mind.

This book was very helpful to read before I start down the path of homeschooling. I don't think it is a book that you need for your library. Most of it was comments from parents and I think that you could get that kind of valuable information from a homeschool support group of sorts.
