The review for this one is difficult for me to write. I finished the book elated and disappointed. On one hand, I really liked the characters and loved living their life through them. I actually felt I was there. One of the main characters, Cary, was so drawn out, I felt like I knew him well. He was probably my favorite. Here's this guy who is just a jerk... he's foul-mouthed, perverted and a drunk but he'll be by your side through thick and thin no matter what. I really liked that is wasn't perfect but he was a hero.
The parts that I didn't like was the story line behind the angel/demon/unnoticeables. I left not really understanding what was going on. I listened to this book instead of reading it and not sure if that was the issue or not. They were cool and they were scary and they were taking over the world but how everything fit together, I'm still unclear on. When I think back on the characters everything is clear. When I think back on the creatures, it is a bit more foggy. Still ready to read the 2nd book though and see where it goes.
