I must say that I went into the reading of this book with preconceived notions about Michael Jackson. By the end of the book, I had some of those ideas dispelled and I came to see him as a flawed, sad person. I ended up seeing him as one who had terrible (and I do mean terrible!) judgment in living his life. The molestation issues are dealt with and give another side to what the sensationalized media reports said. I am ultimately glad that I read this book.

I found this book to be interesting, but was a bit dismayed to find that Michael Jackson was a "fame brat" He got to the point where he figured he could say or do whatever he wanted because he was who he was. Just like any other famous person, you really do not need a yes man, you need someone willing to say no and not be afraid to tell you when you are being an ass. While I believe it is true that he or his brothers did not have much of a childhood and so he overdid the childlike behavior, he really did not think about what he was doing, or how strangely he was acting and how he was perceived by those around him. His talent shines through though, of that there is no doubt.
