God wants us to embrace life, not just endure it. He wants us to have extraordinary lives, not normal and boring ones. The author, who is the senior pastor of NewSpring Church in South Carolina, uses the Biblical example of David to show how we can do great things for God. God has a plan for us, and we need to believe that. I thought the book was a decent read and the author made some good points about trusting God and doing more for Him. So, "hold on to your fork", because God has something great in store for everyone.
