The heroine, Sophie, is a journalist who is investigating the disappearance of a young woman named Megan who was recently paroled and now running from the law with her baby. Sophie's search leads her to Megan's brother, Marc, a convicted killer--and a man from Sophie's past. Marc uses Sophie to escape from prison so he can find his sister and protect her from the bad guys who are pursuing her. Together Marc and Sophie try to track down Megan while people on both sides of the law do eveything they can to keep them from finding the shocking truth about the past.
This is the third book in Pamela Clare's I-Team series. I loved this book. Had a hard time putting it down. My rating is 5 Stars.

I really enjoyed this book. It's the first time I read anything by this author but it will not be the last! Sexy, full of suspense and well written.
This is a very good book. Pamela Clare is one of my favorite authors.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic Book! Pamela Clare sure knows how to write stories that grab your attention and keeps you turning the pages well into the night!
Huh. I'm going to be in the minority, I really didn't like this book.

Marc and Sophie both annoyed me by many of their actions. So, Marc kidnapping and holding a gun to Sophie's head is just fine because, well, he is a tortured hero convicted of a crime he didn't commit (to "protect" someone). Never mind the fact, this person wasn't asked and carried around guilt for what Marc did, and that by doing so he prevented the crimes from being found out sooner. What could have been prevented!?
Then there is the stupid shit Sophie does. Going from being proud of your career and wanting to be a well known journalist to just thinking about having Marc's babies. It gets better! Sophie deliberately (deliberately!) tries to get pregnant (and....shocker....she does!) while on the run, not knowing if you will survive, potentially serving jail time herself, the uncertainty and possibility of Marc going away (again) for life. Hello you idiot!
What I did like about this book, was the attention pain to issues affecting women in the US justice system. I think it did a good job at showing how easy it is to take away someone's voice.

Each book (for me) has gotten more annoying in this series (not the story- lines per say, but how the H/h act). I read chapter 1 (in this book) for book 4 (Naked Edge) and didn't care for it. At this point, I don't think I will bother.
