Another good Donna Leon book. This one revolving around a murder at a military preparatory school. The usual twists and turns are surprising yet believable. And power, again, seems to be the cause of the flaw in humanity.
This was the first time I read thisa author It was very well written and will look for others by her.

Set in Venice, a police procedural featuring the likable Brunetti. This time the crime involves a student in a military academy. This is not my favorite Leon work, but still a good read as she's a fine writer.
Donna Leon is a wonderful writer. Great story, rich characterization, suspense.
very well written
Great! Donna Leon is a great adventure writer, and the setting in Venice is a bonus... and the main character is a delight. Be forewarned - you will be sucked in and want to read the entire series!
Another Commissario Brunetti mystery set in Venice - this time a presumed suicide of a student at an elite military academy...
Compelling story, atmospheric setting in wonderful Venice!

Excellent writing as always from Leon with this series. Once you get into her books, it's hard to put them down - you want to see what's coming next and how it ends. Love the characters she's created and the gradual fleshing them out in each installment. Would highly recommend the series.
