This is the story of two young girls and their lives. Both have magic, but both don't really know how to use it properly. It's a coming of age story and a love story as well. It's set during Saxon and Norman times, and has all the knights, and sorcerers and fighting with wolves and bandits and treachery normal for that time. I enjoyed it because of the historical knowledge and insights into adolescent girls minds. It's a good story.

Good historical fantasy of events right before the battle of Hastings. Interesting characters, strong women, and multiple POV. Definitely will read book two.

Although not the kind of book I usually read, I loved this book. The characters were alive and magical, and truly inspiring and surprising at every turn. A must read for anyone who like magical stories, and is looking for an adventure.
