Lenny Wilken's career is essentially a history of the NBA, starting in 1960 and continuing for 45 years as a player then as a coach. He came into the league at the same time as Jerry West and Oscar Robertson, and didn't get as much attention as they did. But he had a great career nonetheless, and this book is a very interesting study of his profession and of the NBA in its formative years.
