I felt as if the ending was too rushed. I wanted it to be more than what it was, but still, it was good. The little twists and turns of how Lucifer plays the characters, how their stories play out from back when they first met to now, was really interesting. I have always loved the Fallen series and felt this book had done it justice.

***SPOILER ALERT***

It's a predictable love story, but for the first time I didn't mind because I love Lauren Kate and the Fallen series.

Turns out, Cam is so broody because he's been suffering from a broken heart for nearly three thousand years. Though, it is his own fault - HE left Lilith on her wedding day. And unbeknownst to her, Lilith made a deal with the devil himself to try and win Cam back. But she Cam denied her and has spent 3000 years in Hell suffering on account of Cam's betrayal. As soon as Cam found out that Lilith was in Hell instead of Heaven, he struck a deal with Lucifer to try and free her, but he only has 15 days to win her back, or he becomes Lucifer's second in command.

Obviously Lilith hates Cam and is leery of him, but she doesn't exactly know why. And obviously Lucifer tries to sabotage Cam's efforts as much as possible. And obviously Cam wins Lilith's heart back in just the nick of time. <3
