I was given this book to read and I did not really want to. I AM SO GLAD I DID!! I loved it. This is not a book i'd of picked up on my own. But it was wonderful. It takes place in the 1870's in the Texas Panhandle. After their Pa's death the Zachary's hang on.The land and each other is all they have. The Kiowa Moon want it and come. One of Pa's old enemys sees a chance to get even after his death and teams up with the Indians. There is love, suspense and mystery. White man and Indians each want more than the land and there is a surprise ending. I loved this book.
