I read this one day. War and Peace it's not, but the story was gripping. This is the cautionary tale of how a seemingly good person makes a whole series of extremely bad choices which have catastrophic consequences for him and those around him. At times the story flashed too much between the present and the past, but overall the effect wasn't too confusing. The main story is of Ryan, a well educated professional black man. However, there are interesting and overlaping story arcs with his best friend Miles, his wife Olivia and Ryan's wife Carly. The story has a lot of surprises and if mention of men on the down low bother you, this book isn't for you although the descriptions aren't overly graphic. This book is much tamer than some others I've read.
