What kind of mother invites her son along on her honeymoon? One who has discovered the perfect lifemate for him. Marguerite Argeneau is the bride honeymooning in the Caribbean with her new (or new again) husband, Julius Notte. Famous among her extended family as a matchmaker extraordinaire, she casually meets Carolyn. After a quick stroll through her head Marguerite feels she will be perfect for Christian, her and Julius 500 year old son. (The whys and wherefores for that are covered in another book: Vampire, Interrupted. No, you dont have to have read it before this one, but you will probably want to after this one.) So she arranges for Christian and his cousins to bring their band to the island to perform and not so incidentally meet the lovely Carolyn.

Christian is thrilled with Carolyn but Carolyn? not so much. She has issues, BIG issues, especially with a 42 year old almost-divorced woman getting obsessed with a hot stud boy toy in his 20s. So cousin Gia has the brilliant idea to tell Carolyn that Christian is gay but in the closet and would really appreciate her being his pretend girlfriend while they are on the island. Much merriment and frustration ensue

Its a great book in the style of the earliest ones of this series. Its light and funny and we feel for poor Christian whose love life is being interfered with by both his parents and his cousins. His attempts and failures to keep his desire in check definitely raise the sexual temperature! Carolyns behavior seems to be a little odd until the end of the book when the machinations of her soon-to-be-ex are revealed.

So, witty dialog, nefarious (and not so nefarious) plots, lovely setting and hot romance whats not to love? Ill be buying the ebook when its out for my Kindle

I have to agree with the previous reviewer that this is a great book. I had really enjoyed the first 3 books in the series and this one does have the fun tone of those earlier books which I love.

The heroine is a 40 something which isn't typical in these types of books so that's a nice change. Love this vampire family as well...meddlesome and well meaning as all get out and easy to relate to.

I read up until page 155, and that was it. All it was up until that point was Christian and Carolyn 'hanging out together.' There was nothing else going on...nothing. (Except her friend Bethany had a stomach bug) They went up the hill on foot, and down the hill on foot. Up the hill in a van, down the hill in a van. Out to dinner, out to dance, and back up the hill. Seriously, I was bored silly. There were a couple of humorous parts, but only a few. Hopefully it got better, but I'm not picking that book up again.

Vampires on vacation! Marguerite Argeneau is on her honeymoon with Julius Notte, when she discovers their son's Life Mate at the very same resort!

I enjoyed this book a lot. Even moreso that the heroine was 42 instead of the regulation 23-to-29 ages in paranormal books. She seemed very "real" to me.

There were several humorous moments...and some hot ones too! I would give it a 5-star rating except for the fact that the ending seemed too short, completely rushed.

Other than that, it was reminiscent to the earlier books in this series. Not everything has to be dark and scary to be good! :)

A return to the sweeter books from early in the series. Marguerite is matchmaking again while on her honeymoon with Julius. Carolyn doesn't stand a chance when Marguerite realizes she may be Christian's lifemate. Twists and turns ensue when Carolyn pretends to be Christian's girlfriend for his family's sake. 3.5 stars

This is one of the worse books in the series. Carolyn was such a downer that I was hoping she would kill herself. The only reason I kept reading was because Christian was hot and the family scenes were funny. Then towards the end, Carolyn's character totally changed. All of a sudden she wasn't freaked out that they are "immortals" and she gets seductive(all in the space of like five minutes of finding out who they were and having Christian do the mind control thing with her friend). It was the total Highlander 3 syndrome where the girl goes,"Oh, you can't be killed? Let's have sex." On top of that, she is all forgiving with someone who was trying to kill her. It has got to be one of the dumbest ending in the world.

I seriously think Sands has lost her touch with this series because the last few books were a bit of a disappointment, but they definitely weren't as bad as this one. I really had to force myself to finish it.

Waste of time. Unless you are really into the series and want to read every book in there, don't bother.

I'm still so in love with this family. I enjoyed watching Christian bumble his way through getting his lifemate with trademark Sands humor. 4 Stars

The series gets better and better, Now Marguerite Argeneau Notte is going to help her second oldest rediscovered son Christian to get his lifemate, a 40 something thats going through a divorce, on her and Julies honeymoon. Little does Christian know what hell he will have to go through to claim Carolyn as his own. It have lots of laugh out loud humor, lots of sexual frustrations on Christian's parts and Carolyn's battle with age different, thinking Christian is the 20 something young lover to her cougar years but she finds out towards the end how young she really is compered to his 500 years of age.
