Really funny slice of life observances. Marian Keyes writes with such humanity, she makes you want to join her in her adventurous disasters!

Marian Keyes! She has become a new favorite author of mine. A fun compilation of Keyes' journalism from magazines and newspapers, plus exclusive, previously unpublished material-this book is bursting with funny stories.

This is a collection of personal essays on shopping, writing, moviemaking, motherhood and all the assorted clamities involved in being a savvy woman in the new millennium. This is a great read! I am a Marian Keyes fan and have read the majority of her books. Unfortunately, I gave them away before I knew abouth PBS. The other Keyes book I have is "Sushi for Beginners".

I was disappointed when I first got this book, I grabbed it up at a garage sale because I like Marian Keyes, thinking it was like her other books. It is not, it is actually a collection of essays but I was pleasantly surprised, it is really good! A quick read and she writes with descriptions so colorful, you cannot help but smile, she also tackles her alcoholism in one essay which I thought was brave and interesting, it is not all light and sunshine. A good read!

Marian loves shoes and her Long-Term Friends), hates realtors and lost luggage, and she once had a Christmas office party that involved roasting two sheep on a spit, Moroccan-stylve. She's just like you and me. Under the Duvet is bursting with funny stories: observations on life, in-laws, weight loss, parties and driving lessons that will keep you utterly gripped---either wincing with recognition or roaring with laughter.

I thought this was a witty commentary about the author's life. It was great getting to "know" the author behind the books.
