True story, although sad, about three young boys who were murdered and thrown in a ditch in the chicago Forest Preserve. At the time this happened, {1955} little control over the media and being able to control some of the officers that wanted to have their pictures taken with the bodies, ruined much of the evidence. It took almost 40 years to find the killer and then only after another killing. This was a very interesting story, I felt very bad for the family of the boys and the way they died. Chicago was an organized time of crooks and criminals at this year of 1955 and catching them was harder than now as they didn't have the equipment and computers and such. Very good read.

On Oct 18, 1955 the bruised and battered bodies of three Chicago boys were found on the outskirts of Chicago. Despite a long and through investigation the crime was never solved. Almost forty years later two ATF agents came upon the cold file. Piece by piece they worked to solve this case. They exposed corruption in the organized crime community and the horse syndicate, an underworld of violence, greed and sex that protected a brutal killer.

An intriguing story of how ATF agents solved a real-life cold case with ties to the Chicago Horse Syndicate. Includes photos.
