Main character owns a publishing company. Great read for those who love books and mysteries.
Alex Plumtree, a rare book collector, runs the family publishing business in London. His firm's newest fiction title, based by author Angela Mayfield on her dissertation, claims that Bloomsbury writer Marcus Stonecypher coded treasonous messages in his works. Once word of the book leaks out, disturbing events occur: threats, thefts, surveillance, sabotage, and attempted murder. Alex and Angela suspect an elite group of book collectors but cannot figure out why they feel threatened by the Stonecypher code.
Another gripping tale of a book publisher who thinks he doesn't need to bother the police with theft, attempted murder, murder, and other assorted crimes.
I'm still trying to figure out how, with two bullet wounds, he still goes after the culprits, goes on a long bike ride, as well as other exertions, and romances his girl friend. Does this book publisher think he is a Louis L'Amour hero?
Then there are the people who know what he doesn't but won't tell him and still maintain they are his friends.

I enjoyed this book selling mystery featuring Alex Plumtree. I especially liked how he discovers who is after him and the writer Angela Mayfield and why. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Unprintable.
