This is genuinely scary, at times, with a unique and intriguing plot. There were many things I enjoyed about this book and I will read the next one. My only problem was too much teenage angst and romance for my taste. I felt it just bogged down what was an otherwise great story. I hope there is less romance and more plot progression in the next.
