If you like sci-fi you will like this book. I am not all that into sci-fi but I found this book to be enjoyable.

I've read The Dare and this one, and The Ultimatum is a much better story. I haven't read The Challenge yet, but it seems like the stories are improving as they go. This came very close to being a keeper and would've been if the whole series was as strong.

Alara has a small but deadly problem; if she doesn't have sex soon she'll die. Xander has a deadly problem too and he needs her help to solve it. He is more than willing to help her out with her problem. Along the way they meet some strange new friends and learn a few new tricks.
This book is awesome. Its passionate and fast paced. The character are intersesting and believable. The authors tries and fails to think up alien words. But its okay, the story line is enough that you don't mind it so much.

Excellent read
This book was excellent, as usual for a Susan Kearney book.
Really good addition to the series. Loved Xander! I can't wait for the next one with Kirek.
I really liked this book. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't as much depth to the main characters as I liked, but I thought the storyline was very original.
Dr. Alara Calladar needs a man...but she sure as krek doesn't want one. If Alara doesn't make love soon, her cells will fail to regenerate and she'll die. Unfortunately her only option is an enemy--Rystani starpilot Xander, her abductor...and a member of the race who has been battling hers since the beginning of time. This was an okay read. I am just sorry that I started with this one and did read the two books prior in the series...I think it would have made more sense and I would have enjoyed it much better.
