In this definitive alphabet book the artist Mike Wilks takes us on a magical journey through the English language. The 26 paintings in this book illustrate a multitude of objects beginning with each letter of our alphabet - there are 7,777 depicted! Some are easy to spot, some more elusive but all are the result of painstaking research as the artist read several multi-volume dictionaries and encyclopedias from cover to cover.
Fascinating, engaging, compelling - a must for all wordsmiths.
