I read this book on my Kindle, so there may be some differences in the audio book version. With that being said, this is a scary novella about an English professor who orders an Amazon Kindle. His "different" Kindle arrives in the mail the very next day, and has it's own unique powers. This story was written specifically for Kindle owners, as it references the device several times over the course of the tale. In true King fashion, it's a good, old-fashioned horror story. I would totally recommend this to anyone!

In the sense of imagination, I think that it's true Stephen King. Again, he takes the most commonplace object and projects life into it. I would have liked it to be longer - but it was great!

This was an interesting short story. It had the potential to become a full fledged story. King also brought in ties to several other novels of his.

Decent novella from one of my favorite authors.

Actually read this on my Kindle which probably makes for a slightly different experience than listening on CD.

Decent pace and storyline. You can guess where some things are going, but not all.

Give it a try if you don't like 'horror' stories, but want to give something from King a try.

This was an odd but interesting book. For those who have a Kindle - beware of this book's storyline.

If you like Stephen King's quirky way of looking at the world, you will LOVE this. It is short but it packs a punch. Imagine you ordered a Kindle (which was a new device at the time this was written) and accidently got one that could give you millions of versions of history - or could predict the future. If you could prevent a horrific accident, would you? Even though you had signed agreements that you would NOT?
