This audio was very well read by Roger Allam. I found Joseph Conrad's prose so beautiful it was almost poetic, although he merely describes his characters and their situation, and doesn't seem to be trying. English was Conrad's third language, after Polish and French, which makes his handling of the language even more wonderful. Typhoon uses racist language of the day, i.e. "chinamen," (was completed around 1902) but Conrad addresses deep issues of character and fairness in a way that is not racist at all. I regret I allowed so much time to pass since last reading Joseph Conrad's writing.
