Cressida, a troubled girl on vacation in Greece, meets a handsome Greek and is romanced (but not bedded). After a few weeks she agrees to marry him, but when her father falls ill she rushes home without saying anything to the man. He turns out to be a tycoon, not the poor fisherman she assumed he was. He pursues her to England, thinking she's led him on like a selfish witch, and is bent on revenge. A good beach read.
