Homicide detective Petra Connor is made aware of similarities in several cold-cases that make her believe the killer is going to attempt another murder on the anniversary date of his previous murders. With the help of her young doctoral canidate intern, she sets out to solve these old murders and, hopefully, prevent the next one. One of those 2:30 in the morning and still reading books......

Star of this novel is a homicise detective out of Hollywood. She must solve a series of old crimes and prevent the next murder from happening.

Kellerman's work is a bit dark, interesting, and his style is one of the best. That's what makes him a top selling writer year after year.
Unsatisfying ending. Read no further if you don't want any hint of the ending. --- The person revealed at the end was not a regular character in the book. Truly a surprise ending. Surprising but not satisfying.

Jonathan Kellerman can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned and this is another great book.
I loved this book! Petra Connor again stars in TWISTED, after BILLY STRAIGHT and a bit part in an Alex Delaware novel, A COLD HEART. She's an interesting character with enough emotional depth and history to draw most readers in. The ensemble cast backing her, including her love interest and a 22-year-old genius that loves working in the murder field, offer a lot of possibilities too. Although the abridged book is a good listen, read by Lindsay Crouse, the emphasis seems to be more on Petra's person life than either of the two murders she's investigating. TWISTED misses the mark on presenting a thrilling whodunit.

This is the first time in paperback for this one, but it is not an Alex Delaware novel. I thought this was a very good book.

I've read every J. Kellerman book and this was a great one. Very interesting plot. Petra's working on two different cases so there is plenty of action and mystery.
Petra Conner returns in this thriller. As usual with Jonathan Kellerman a very will ploted sspenceful story. You will like it.

an elaborate tangled web with unsuspected turns at every chapter break. this book was good a little slow to start but you get involved with the charactors and what is going on and i found it hard to lay down . was engrossing and kept you wanting to read to see where it was going next.k.k.

The story starts out strong and is a good page-turner. A good suspense novel has twists that take you by surprise, but I found [what was supposed to be] the big 'twist' at the end a bit of a disappointment.
This was a great book. I really like Jonathon Kellerman, and this book did not let me down.
Petra Connor is back, with a gang shooting and LAPD office politics to deal with, as well as baby sitting a brainiac intern who thinks there is a serial killer striking ever year on June 28, which is fast approaching! Typical fast paced Kellerman whodunit, with some interesting side bits that keep the action interesting.
