Jonathan Kellerman writes novels that keep you turning the pages and this one is no exception. Homicide detective Petra Connor is made aware of similarities in several cold-cases that make her believe the killer is going to attempt another murder on the anniversary date of his previous murders. With the help of her young doctoral canidate intern, she sets out to solve these old murders and, hopefully, prevent the next one. One of those 2:30 in the morning and still reading books......

Kellerman writes amazing stories. This one walking the reader through the unique problems of a female police officer balancing a personal life and a career as a crime solver. heady stuff.

A Petra Connor novel. A whiz kid grad student discovers the pattern to a series of unconnected murders. Petra's got a lot on her plate, a personal life in shambles, and no time for the kid...but the date that connects all the murders is rapidly approaching and Petra has to decide if it's worth pursuing the bizarre clues that no one else has noticed to stop an elusive, cunning killer.
