More Twisted Collected Stories Vol 2 Author:Jeffery Deaver Deaver, author of a string of best-selling thrillers, says in the introduction to this story collection (his second, following 2003's Twisted) that short fiction is inherently different from a novel. And he proves it in every one of the 16 stories, which include a new Lincoln Rhyme mystery. These stories aren't about character developmen... more »t or setting; they're about misdirection and plot twists, Deaver's signatures. Every one of these gems includes at least one act of narrative sleight of hand: sometimes it's a subtle shift in direction, but more often it's a neck-wrenching, right-angle turn. And they all feature Deaver's sharply observed dialogue and jackrabbit pacing. The majority of the stories were previously published in magazines and anthologies, but even the most devoted of the author's followers will find a few things here they have never seen before.

So far has I have read almost every story in this book in just a matter of days, you can say that I am throughly enjoying it! I can not believe some of the endings! It is nice to be kept on one's toes after all these others books I have read....
I would give this a A+++ rateing.... it's a good read for either gender and for the lover of suspense, mystery, who done it type stories.... Just when you think you know the Why, Who, and How you will be pleanstly surprised....I can't wait to get more of this author's books!
As the title suggests - all the endings are twists. As you read you think you know where the story is going - but then comes the twist. Even thinking you know what the twist will be (cause you are looking for it), it often ends up to be totally different. Great short stories!
