This was a special reprint of Jayne Anne's 1986 story. Filled with intrigue, sunsets, steamy nights and love, this story of Hannah and Gideon was a fun read... especially with the small references to the 80s (who wears leotards to the gym nowadays?).
Hannah is gifted with the research papers and journals of her famous anthropologist aunt and must decide what to do with it all. Meanwhile, she must help her younger brother keep his business afloat. Which is how she meets Gideon cage, the wealthy, hard-hearted entrepreneur who's trying to close her brother out.
Within their first meeting, Gideon realizes that this woman makes him think, feel and see things differently. She inspires him to climb out of his self-imposed walls and find a balanced life and the love he's denied himself. Hannah is so focused on managing her aunt's legacy and figuring out what to do with her own life (and dodging attempts on her life) little does she realize she is the love that of his life. And he is her destiny.

this was a rerelease of an older story. I thought it was veryover done in business spy intrigue, just didn't seem to really come together well. Her later novels are much better.
Reprint of an earlier book. Okay if you need something to read, but definitely not her best.
Cloistered as a faculty member at a small college, beautiful Hannah Jessett can almost forget her family heritage. Few know she's the niece of Elizabeth Nord, the legendary anthropologist who stunned the world with her revolutionary workuntil her aunt dies, leaving Hannah in sole possession of her priceless unpublished journals.
But Hannah has other matters to contend with. Her brother's company is about to be destroyed by Gideon Cage, a wealthy entrepreneur with a notorious reputation in the boardroom and the bedroom.
When she confronts Gideon, all she sees is a powerful man with a fast smile and soft eyes. Yet before she can catch her breath and really understand this puzzle of a man, her whole world is suddenly threatened: her brother, her aunt's legacy, her heartand her life!

Jayne Ann Krentz is one of my favorite authors.
Like all of her other books, I loved this one too.
A quick read and I couldn't put it down.
