Good book although not as good as the other two Drake sisters books I've read. The Christmas part of it was a little cheesy... Still, I'm glad I read it as I've loved the other books in this series.

This story was just ok. It seemed a bit phoned in compared to her other novels. That is not to say it is a bad book overall, just not as good as I am used to reading from her. I found myself more interested in some of the minor characters than I was in the main characters, who felt a bit flat to me. In addition, the "evil plot" kept making me think of a B horror movie (ie The Fog) which gave it a certain cheese factor. I might recommend it to someone who has not yet read any of her other books or who wants background on the Drake sisters (if they, like me, read series out of order).

I've waited along time to start this series,I had all but the 1st two.Just finished Twilight before xmas didn't let me down,I look forward to reading the rest of Drake sisters
books.Their wonderful stories about family sticking together,laughing together.Christine has a great way of writing.Any book that can make me laugh and cry,is a book
I want to read. This book did just that,as id the first one,Magic In The Wind.

Couldn't stand how it was written. My 2nd story from her (my first 'magic in the wind') and i wasn't less than impressed by both of them.

for both, the writing was horrendous. i have the whole drake sister series, but after the first two, it seems i'm too afraid to read the next story, Ocean of Fire.
