WOW! When it comes to research, I wish Wellman had been my teacher. I learned more about Renaissance Italy in a sci-fi book than all those years in class. This story will keep you turning the pages. Need to remember that this story was written in 1938! The scientists of 1938 held different ideas and theories about science than what we know today. Don't let that get in your way of the story. Know something about art? You will be in heaven with this book. The book was purchased used from 1stchoicebook and their stamp is on the teaser first page and has a crease on the spine from being read, but excellent spine/pages, no marks or tears. Someone asked me the other day if Leonardo was the blue or purple turtle ... la Gioconda would have wept.
