Holly White heads home to Mistletoe, Maine, after her fiance calls off their wedding. She decides to help her parents at their Christmas Tree Farm, Reindeer Games. Every year her parents host twelve days of fun and games leading up to Christmas. This year the crowds are gathering when Holly stumbles over the dead body of Margaret Fenwick. Margaret was the Historical Society President. Lately she had been issuing citations to businesses all over town. She even threatened to close Reindeer Games if they don't change the size of their fence posts. Someone has bludgeoned her to death. When the local sheriff's investigation seems to be pinpointing Holly's parents and their staff, Holly decides to do her own investigation into Margaret's death.

This is the first book in the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series. This was a fun cozy mystery with several suspects. I liked Holly and I liked the Sheriff. It's obvious he is going to be the love interest in this series. Many of the other suspects and supporting characters seemed underdeveloped. Most of them were not memorable at all. The mystery itself was well thought out. I had a suspect in mind, but it turned out I was wrong. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
