I have enjoyed the entire Spyness series, this is , IMO, the best in the series so far...
Lady Georgie makes an escape from her odious sister in law Fig and Fig's family for Christmas. She answers an ad to assist and participate on an Old Fashioned Christmas in a typical English Manor House in the country. On her arrival, she is told there has been an accident which resulted in the death of a neighbor of her host and hostess. As the days pass, there are more "accidents"...In fact an accident a day....Lady Georgie believes these accidents are related and not accidents at all...but murders...but how? And why? what is the connection ?
I figured out quite a bit of the solution, but that did not interfere with the essence of the story. I could not put this book down, yet I did not want the book to end .....I love the characters ...and the ongoing relationship between Her Ladyship and the dashing Darcy....Cannot wait for the next book in the series ......

I don't want to say too much as this plot has a great twist and I don't want to spoil it! Enjoy!

I have enjoyed all the "Spyness" books, but I have to say, this was the best one of the series to date! Lady Georgie makes an escape from her odious sister - in - law Fig ( and Fig' s family ) for Christmas. Georgie answers an ad to assist and participate in an Old Fashioned Christmas in a typical English Manor House in the country....On her arrival, she learns there has been a tragic accident, which had resulted in the death of a neighbor of her host and hostess.. As the days pass, there are more "accidents" .... In fact, there has been an accident a day....Lady Georgie believes these accidents are related and are not accidents at all....but murder....but how? And why? And what is the connection? I figured out quite a bit of the solution, but it did not interfere with the essence of the story....I could not put this book down, yet I did not want it to end ! Love the characters.....and the on going relationship between Her Ladyship and the dashing Darcy....cannot wait for the next book.......

She may be thirty-fifth in line for the throne, but Lady Georgiana Rannoch cannot wait to ring in the New Year -- before a Christmas killer wrings another neck⦠â On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me -- well, actually, my true love, Darcy O'Mara, is spending a feliz navidad tramping around South America. Meanwhile Mummy is holed up in a tiny village called Tiddleton-under-Lovey with that droll Noel Coward! And I'm snowed in at Castle Rannoch with my bumbling brother, Binky, and sourpuss sister-in-law, Fig.

So it's a miracle when I contrive to land a position as hostess to a posh holiday party in Tiddleton. The village is like something out of A Christmas Carol! But no sooner have I arrived than a neighborhood nuisance, a fellow named Freddie, falls out of a tree dead. On my second day, another so-called accident results in a death -- and there's yet another on my third. Perhaps a recent prison break could have something to do with itâ¦that, or a long-standing witch's curse. But after Darcy shows up beneath the mistletoe, anything could be possible in this wicked wonderland.

Includes an English Christmas companion, full of holiday recipes, games, and more!
