Helpful Score: 1
i love these regan reilly mysteries. i cant' wait to read her next in this series
NOT AS GOOD AS HER MOTHER, BUT STILL GOOD.
very good book
Daughter of Mary Higgins Clark, Carol writes some pretty good, easy reading mysteries. Humorous, light but well composed, a good beach book. Sleuth Regan Reilly is hired as a bodyguard for singer Brigid O'Neill, a rising country star who has been receiving threatening 'love notes'. When a party guest is found dead in the pool, the menace grows.
1st in series.
Another good Regan Reilly Story
Regan Reilly is hired as a bodyguard for Brigid, a rising county star who is receiving threatening notes. Brigid also has a "magical" Irish fiddle which is said to be cursed. However, she still brings it to the Hamptons, where her band is performing. Regan joins the hosts at their estate where they encounter a feng shui specialist and a party guest who ends up floating facedown in the pool. Regan must discover what happened before Brigid has any trouble.
For me, this one took a while to take off. Once it did, I didn't put it down!
Nicely woven story.
A week in the Hamptons can be Murder...Sleuth Regan Reilly is hired as a bodyguard for singer Brigid O'Neill, a rising country star who has been receiving threatening 'love notes. ' Brigid also possess a "magical" Irish fiddle said to be cursed-whoever takes it out of Ireland will have an accident or face death. Still, Brigid brings it to the Hamptons, where her band will perform at the 4th of July concert. Chappy Tinka, heir to a thumbtack fortune, and his ditzy wife, Betina, are their hosts. Regan joins them at "Chappy's Compound, " an oceanfront estate where they encounter Betina's guru Peace Man, Chappy's bumbling sidekick Duke, a feng shui specialist obsessed with rearranging furniture-and a party guest found floating face-down in the pool.
