My Favorite Rachel Gibson. Nick has loved Delaney all his life. Will he get his heart's desire? Loved it, this is one of my favorite romances ever.

Delaney Shaw plans to get in and out of her hometown in the time it takes to attend her stepfather Henry's funeral, read the will, and refill the tank of her Miata. I thought this book was great! Characters were easy to identify with. Great Plot. A little easy to guess what was going to happen, but it's a good summer beach read. I read the first 250 pages in one sitting! This is my first Rachel Gibson book and I plan to read more. Enjoy!
Romantic tension. Hate turns to love. Rachel Gibson as always with fiesty woman and brooding man.
I didn't think I would like this book but I really enjoyed it. It's a very quick, light romance. I think Gibson took a chance and actually included more sex scenes in this book than her others. Better dialogue than most of her books.
Nick and Delaney worked well together. Both are likable in their own little ways. Nick is definitely the ultimate bad boy. Delaney is very strong for someone who has been under the thumb of her family during her formative years.
You also get extra romances with Delaney's mother and her friend Lisa with Nick's older brother (Crazy Louie). I liked the way Gibson provided their backgrounds and their relationships with each other and their families.
If you want to catch up to what happens to everyone, you get an update in "Tangled in You" which ties in with Gibson's writer series (Maddie Dupree's story).

Rachel Gibson's stories are so funny and full of life. Once I start reading one of her books I don't want to put it down or see it end....

When Delaney returns for the reading of her stepfathers will she is surprised by the conditions, stay for a year or lose the inheritance. This coupled with her attraction to Nick Allegrezza may make getting out of town quickly impossible. Steamy romance that Rachel Gibson does so well.

I really enjoyed this. The main characters were in conflict from the beginning and the plot kept them at odds. Even though they both understood the cost of getting too "friendly" neither was able to deny the attraction they felt. The tight focus on the hero and heroine and this push-me-pull-me dynamic kept the story interesting through to the end. Given the $3 million inheritance at stake for the heroine, I wasn't sure how the author was going bring the two together, though she did, and my guesses were wrong - which I was happy to see since too much predictability is not something I want in what I read.
