I'm always looking for good true crime books.  I miss looking forward to the new Ann Rule books, but I recently read a couple of books by Shanna Hogan and thought her books were just as good as the ones written by Ann Rule. But then when I searched to see if there was anything coming out by her, I found this (written September 2020):

"Best-selling true crime author Shanna Hogan has died as the result of a brain injury following a pool accident at her home in Phoenix, Ariz. She was 38. Hogan was swimming with her 15-month-old son, Zander, on Aug. 27 when she lost her footing, fell and hit her head, according to her obituary"
