Not one of his better books. I found it to be very dull & dragged on & on. Too much detail on the history. It does have it's good parts & was worth reading it to the end.

Absolutely the best..... this is an incredible journey with tears, love, and a true slice of life with its blessings and fobiles. Could hardly stop listening as I wanted to hear how it ended long before the last CD played. You too will be enthralled with this masterpiece of story telling and vivid artistry of word pictures. Perfect for teens and older readers. Read or listen ( as the case maybe) this one first and be sure to follow with next in series....At First Sight! You'll be glad you did, it will be engaging for you without a doubt.

Though a lovely romance the mystery of the lights keeps pulling me along hoping there will be a resolution. My only criticism is the reader's voice. David Aaron Baker is fine interpreting the men but the women, of course being Southern, sound insipid. I think women sound better reading these stories.

I have loved everything I have read or heard of Nicholas Sparks work. This is another in a line of really good works. The name is all I look for any more.
