I loved this book. Dorothy Martin is an American woman living in Sherebury, England which is a small cathedral town with a university and a very old town hall that is not in use and is falling apart. The preservationists want to have it restored to its former beauty, but developers want to restore it but make it part of a modern shopping mall. When Dorothy goes to see the interior of the hall, she sees its potential for restoration, but also finds a dead body in a closet.
Dorothy likes to snoop and can't help being an amateur sleuth. She takes on the task of finding out who killed the young man in the closet even at the risk of her own safety.

Second in a series about an American widow and amateur sleuth living in an English cathedral town. Definitely a "cozy" mystery.

Jeanne M. Dams is always good, cozy English reading. I only wish she would write more in the Dorothy Martin series.

Dorothy Martin is an American living in a small university village in England. She just keeps stumbling onto dead bodies and can't resist "helping" with the murder investigation. I love these books-----quiet, gentle, entertaining-----perfect for a fall evening in front of a fire.
