Very well written Wheeler writes it like Wyatt is telling the story. He has the Facts. Here are the life and times of Wyatt Earp--sheriff, gambler, lover, friend, and one of the most memorable personalities of the Old West. Novelist Richard Wheeler lets the old man look back upon his checkered life, and in the process brings Earp to life as a man wrestling with deep tragedy and mortal danger. In this story Earp is more than a courageous lawman; he's a man who loves and loses, who hurts, who enjoys few triumphs, and who struggles to survive in a changing world.
