Great historical fiction about the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist fire. Loved it.

This book is an interesting and much more cerebral take on the Triangle disaster than I was expecting. Using genetics as an overarching theme - the history of the last living survivor of the Triangle fire takes a very unusual turn. While some of the chapters about George's music were a bit overwhelming to my non-scientific mind, it was an interesting book that had me pondering after I'd turned the last page, wondering what I might have missed along the way.

What a funny little book. A mystery involving the notorious 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York meets story about a composer who uses DNA sequences to inspire his music. It's better than the book jacket would indicate, and I especially enjoyed the parts involving the composer and his process.
Based on actual events (I think).
