Trevor Von Eeden is a comic book writer/artist known for co-creating and drawing Black Lightning, the first original African-American superhero in DC Comics history, and the first to have his own title.
Other titles he has worked on include Power Man and Iron Fist, Thriller, Black Canary, Green Arrow and Batman
In the mid-1980s he also did work on a four-issue Green Arrow mini-series (inked by Dick Giordano). In 2001, Von Eeden drew the five-issue storyline "Grimm" that appeared issues #149-153 of DC Comics' Legends of the Dark Knight. He has also illustrated a short series called Joe In The Future for Heavy Metal magazine, and wrote and drew a 240-page graphic novel biography of boxer Jack Johnson.
In 2009, Von Eeden wrote and illustrated the biographical series The Original Johnson for ComicMix, about boxer Jack Johnson.
