This was my first exposure to Bernd Heinrich and it impressed me so much that I soon there after collected as many of his books as possible. I've developed a much greater appreciation for trees and forests due to Mr. Heinrich's engaging style and fascinating awareness of the natural world. It's a must for anyone who loves the natural world.
