Regrettably, this ID guide covers trees of the Eastern & Midwestern US only ~ a small but important fact that is glossed over in the intro and visible nowhere else. While it may be very good east of the Rockies (seems so, in fact), it is of no use to California tree fanciers. Wish I'd known sooner ~ so disappointing after a very long wait.
