This is the fourth book in the "Day of Honor" series and shows why the Day of Honor was begun. Kirk and the Enterprise, along with Commander Kor and his war birde, try to assist a Klingon agricultural colony that is under attack.
I liked the fact that the story is told partly from the point of view of two new characters, one a Klingon farmer, and one an agronomist on the Enterprise who really hasn't spent time with the bridge crew before.
In addition there is a lot of action on the planet and in space. It is an excellent Star Trek story.
