What an excellent book! Anne Lamott's faith journey takes the most unexpected twists and turns and in spite of it all she believes...and she includes all of her early life that defines who she is as an adult. I love her sense of humor and want to read more books by this lady.

I love Anne Lamott's non-fiction. She's smart, funny, and can laugh at serious subjects, herself most of all. She's a delight!

Love, love, love this book! In fact, I may have to read it again just for the "laugh out loud" passages. Lamott strips her soul absolutely bare and tells it all in a way that makes you want her for your best friend. I'd share a pew with her anyday.

A wonderful collection of Anne Lamott's essays, particularly dealing with her struggles with self-image and raising a child on her own, and how her relationship with God and religion helped her in the process.

Frequently funny, she is always serious. It certainly helped me with the process of dealing with my own self-image.

I enjoyed the book very much. The author is very genuine and honest in her reflections on the hard experiences she's had in life. She's also very funny and a very good writer! Kept me turning the pages and not wanting to put it down.
