A real "page-turner", couldn't put it down! Especially the last fifty pages. The suspense built slowly but steadily. The characters were people I enjoyed knowing. The only negative is that being written nearly 20 years ago the technology and biological advances that the characters could have used, such as cell phones, and DNA testing were strangely missing.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a romance, mystery, thriller. Sarah, a genealogist is hired by Michael who is adopted to find his natural parents. This stirs up a lot of trouble. It was published in 1989 and is a little dated. At times the characters do things that don't seem logical, such as not calling the police when someone tries to kill them and Michael is wounded. Instead they went into hiding together. Catherine Anderson is one of my favorite authors. I would recommend this book.
Good main characters and action, but too bloody for my tastes. I prefer cozy mysteries.
