The Tower stands in solitude. What began as a seventeenth century manor house has grown over the centires into something very different. Something evil. There are the stark walls, the shadow-filled rooms, the lonely corridors......

Very scary book. Reminds me of the Haunting at Hill House.

The Tower stands in solitude. What began as a seventeeth centruy manor house has grown over the centuries into something very different. Something evil. The Tower is haunted by much more than ghosts of the past, and it can do far more than simply terrify. It has a dark heart and it has grown restless. Fans of Stephen King will enjoy this!

Did not care for this one at all, found it to be draggy with too much description and taking forever to get anywhere, didn't finish it.

Great book! Scary and fast-paced. Would read anything by this author again!

I enjoyed the author's "The Judas Tree," but couldn't finish this one. First hint I was in trouble was one character's experience in a room that seemed to close in on him. Knew it was a dream or delusion, neither of which make a good haunted house episode. When the mysterious "man in the bunker," impales a live rat on a spike, I quit. (Maybe that's a spoiler, but I'd be doing you a favor if it prevented your wasting time on this.)

Wow, what a terrible read. I made it about half way through this one, but couldn't force myself to endure any more. The plot was flimsy at best. The author couldn't seem to keep track of what character was talking and whom they were talking about. A ridiculous waste of time.

I thought this was a nice scary read--it's a older book, but still a good one!! Well worth your time, if you are a horror reader!!
